I'm 33 and had spine fusion. My kyphosis was severe 85 now 42 degrees. I recently asked my surgeon can i run, cycle and use weights. He answered with no to running it may ruin my back. I remember when I went for my visit prior to surgery he said " i can do everything post surgery", I'm now getting into shape. I started with fast walking 3 times a week for an hour, I felt pain shorty after my walk. I stopped walking and now cycling on a recumbent cycle indoors for an hour and then doing lunge and squats with no weight. I'm seeing results with my body but I have pain still. Also I can see my neck where there is no fusion starting to get kyphoic, my doctor said that sometimes happens. I'm looking for a great activity where i can get into shape but not deal with pain or seeing my back even sightly deform. Please help me?
