Q: Had sex w/ nuva ring

Hi ive been on Nuva Ring since the end of July. Ive been using it like its been prescribed. On Monday around 12 pm I took out my Nuva Ring. Aound 2 a.m. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex where he ejaculated into me. I was wondering if Im still safe or should I consider getting the Plan B Pill? Am I pregnant?

About 1 pregnancy occurs over 1 year out of 100 women using this method of birth control. That said, did you remove the vaginal ring during the inactive one-week period as planned? OR did you remove and then reinsert it?

So you're asking if you're protected during the week you take your ring out?

Yes, you are protected during that week. No plan B needed as long as you've been inserting the ring when you are supposed to.
