Hi:) I had a ductal papilloma with apocrine metaplasia and epithelial hyperplasia. The lump was removed last year in April and I was told its a benieng tumor! This month I discovered another lump on the same breast it's like not round but more of a long shape!! I'm so worried and can all off this turn into cancer?? My dr told me they removed the whole thing and I don't need a memo or ultrasound!!

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Ductal papilloma with apocrine metaplasia and epithelial hyperplasia is a benign condition of the breast.Apocrine metalplasia is associated with condition known as Fibrocystic breast disease in which the breasts may have swelling associated with lump and the pain may or may not be present. It is a benign condition and can occur due to hormonal changes and most of them resolve with time.

I hope that after the surgery the biopsy of the cell tissue removed must have been done to rule out any cancerous changes. It is difficult to comment about the lump without clinical examination and evaluation.Since you have a history of breast issues I would sincerely advice you to visit your treating Surgeon for assessment which would help in precise diagnosis.

Take care!
