Okay so I had a cold sore and I was very careful not to touch anything after I touched it w/o washing my hands. I'm 26 and have and cold sores all my life. I even got a rash of dry skin on my hands from washing them so often. Even though I took the most precaution I could with the cold sore I was freaked out I would transfer the cold sore to my vagina so I was constantly looking at it and inspecting it (after I washed myhands like 5 times) to make sure that I didn't Xfer it. I then decided to shave my pubic area and I didn't do a very good job I believe I may have razor burned myself a little but also not sure about that. Now I feel some cuts in my vagina and the cold sore is gone and it feels a lot like a yeast infection and I just started on some store bought meds for it today. But when I look own there all I see if redness, no sores or anything and it is definately inflamed like a yeast infection would be. And before I got the yeast infection meds I was using neosprin down there.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Your symptoms suggest vaginal infection. It could be fungal/yeast, bacterial or protozoal. It is like that it was caused due to old razor or razor burns. The exact cause can be made out after a careful examination and a vaginal smear test to identify causative agent. Get started on appropriate treatment. If you are sexually active, consider getting your partner also treated simultaneously to prevent chances of re-infection.
Take care.
