Hi, I am a male having man boobs and they are kind of making me lose my self esteem. I'm already 17 my weight is 67 and my height is 168. I have been running for the past few months but they don't seem to get smaller. My nipple are kind of puffy and I don't like it. I would like to know if i really have man boobs and how long would I take to lose them. I haven't went to a doctor as I'm not quite well off

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Gynaecomastia or male enlargement of breast is usually caused by hormonal changes occuring during puberty, drug effect, illegal drug use,any outgrowth etc.
Obesity can also cause them to look enlarged in size.Usually after few years in many cases it resolves by itself.

But if there is any underlying cause which needs to be treated then it would require appropriate treatment as medicines or surgery. If there is any tenderness then it would require medications. It requires a proper examination of the area to comment regarding this.

Kindly visit a Physician for evaluation so that he can guide you further.

Take care!
