A few days before I get my menstruations. This is when I tend to catch a cold, or get an infection surrounding a tooth. In general every month my whole mouth feels really sensitive and not has healthy as usual. It does not happen every month. But I would say 85% of the time when I do get sick its right before menstruating. Can someone explain what I can do to prevent my immune system from going down during this time. Is there some kind of disorder for women and menstruation and immune system?

Woman's immune system has less effective responses week before and during the menstrual bleeding (increased progesterone levels are linked with lower immunity).
It's believed that sex hormones can make gums inflammation worse (gum redness and swelling, known as periodontitis),because of their ability to proliferate specific periodontal (around the teeth) microorganisms and affect host immunologic response.

Best wishes!
