Q: growth of median nerve

I'm a 16 year old girl and I was diagnosed with a severe case a CTS... it's really rare for soneone my age to get it so the doc sent me to do SO many tests and the MRI showed that about 1.5 to 2 cm of my median nerve had grown A LOT (I seriously mean a lot...) So, eventually, I went into cirgury last wednesday, 10th of Sept.
The doc had expected to find a tumor on my nerve but instead found that the nerve itself had grown for no apparent reason (the blood tests had no sign of an inflamatory process). So, as doctors do... he said that it would never get smaller but it would also never grow bigger and he cut the ligament.
Since he had never seen anything like it, he also took photos to show his medical students and he also showed another doc who's 60 and has been doing CTS cirgury for his whole career -- he'd never seen anything like it either...
if anyone's ever seen this happen before, please tell me what it is!! I can't find anything about it -- I'm not overweight, my bloodtests say I'm healthy and I'm scared that it WILL continue growing!
What is this???!!!!!!!!

That is an interesting case. Is the CTS bilateral (both hands) and are there any other limb problems?
