Q: growth in vagina ?

Sorry this post may be a bit long . but i have 2 problems

1. When i have sex with my its sometimes painful, and not because its not lubricated enough but because he is hitting something. So i decided to find out what hes hitting, i put my finger in my vagina and i felt something there. There is like a growing in there. it is a bit long and its hard. Its penis like, but its def not a penis, it has like a little slit at the end of it. It doesn't hurt to touch it, just during sex when my bf hits it, it hurts. Once it hurt so bad i was crying, but he might have hit my cervix idk. I had some cysts on my ovaries, but the doctor said it might just go away by itself, that was about 2 years ago. Could this have anything to do with the cysts? Does this sound like cancer or something to you? Or does everyone have that thing in their vagina? Sometimes it hurts to stretch or pee or something like that.

2. Ever since i was little i had pimples on my vagina, right by my clitoris. They dont hurt and they dont go away. I was never molested when i was little so I don't know where they came from. I think it might be an STD but i have no clue how i got it. I remember being 6 and having them.

So my mom is making an appointment for the gynecologist for me, im 17. I told her my ovaries hurt, because she doesnt know im having sex, and i dont really want her to. And i didnt tell her about the thing in me, kind of weird telling her that i stuck my finger in my vagina. I have been with my bf for 1.5 years, and he is my only sexual partner, i was a virgin before him.

I am really freaked out about having some random doctor looking at my vagina and sticking stuff in it. SOOOOOOO embarrassing and um comfy....

Had anyone ever experienced this? or has any idea what this can be?

1. It kinda sounds like you've found your cervix-- it can be very painful when it'caca during sex.

Your cervix changes a bit, depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle. Most times it is lower and firm-- kind of like the tip of your nose when you push on it. However, during ovulation it may rise and soften so it kind of blends with the rest of your vagina. Also, depending on your cycle, the opening may be wider or barely open at all. During ovulation the opening will be wider.
Here's a picture that may be helpful:

Although I still feel it would be best for you to run these questions by a gyno, it's best to start check ups once a year when you become sexually active anyways.

2. Ask your gyno about the little pimples. I seem to recall I had/have those as well at times but I can't find anything about them. My gyno has never mentioned them to me-- but then again I've never mentioned them to her. I know for a fact that I don't have any STDs though.

Going to the gyno isn't so bad. It's weird and a little uncomfortable, but you only have to do it every so often.

thats my cervix?? why is it so low? every time my bf fingers me he feels it. and i can always feel it too, i thought that it was really deep in!

and i will go to the gyno and ask her, i am just very uncomfortable of getting naked showing my vagina to someone and having them touch it...ew.

Can u get an STD without ever being sexually active? from like a toilet seat or something?

and one more question. what would they do to me if i went to gyno? like procedures and stuff

Well, your cervix is within reach of your fingers-- an average vagina is about 3-5 inches long (it can vary) and your cervix should be just at the end.

As for the gyno exam, your doctor will give you a full check of your reproductive system. First she'll give you an external exam, where she'll look at the outside of your vagina. Yeah, she'll touch and look and it's weird. but you'll live. Smile

Next your doctor will give you a speculum exam. The doctor will place the speculum into your vagina and they will open it a little so they can easily see your vagina and cervix-- it may be a little uncomfortable, but not painful. Then your doctor will give a pap test by inserting a small stick with a special brush to get a sample from your cervix. After that the doctor may take another sample for STDs. That's the end of the speculum exam.

For the last part of your vaginal exam, your doctor will insert two gloved fingers and apply pressure to your lower abdomen-- this is to check your tubes, ovaries, and uterus. It takes a few seconds. It's weird and may be uncomfortable, but your doctor can learn a lot from doing this so let them know if you have any pain.

All that in a span of 5 minutes. It's fast and nothing to worry about.

She'll also show you how to do a breast exam.

Ew, sheesh! You're not hooking up with your doctor here. lol If you think of it like the smart, mature woman that I'm sure you are, then you'd realize this is just a medical exam and it's very important to your health as a woman Wink

They will give you something to wear during the exam. While I was there I was fully clothed and sitting in a chair and just talking with my doctor for a majority of the time I was there.

I can't be sure if you're actually touching your cervix, but it does sound like it. Your doctor will be able to help you out much better than I can.

Again, they give you something to wear during the actual exam.
Its like an examination gown and/or you'll get sheet to drape over yourself-- I got both.

Pink/Lucky,

it's your cervix. My boyfriend hits it during sex sometimes too...it hurts horribly.

I'm glad you're going to the gyno to make sure everything is in working order.
