Q: Grossed out by kissing
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 7th, 2009
I have been with my boyfriend for 6 months, already I do not want to have sex with him like I use to. I actually am starting to feel sick to my stomach when he touches me or I want to cry. I get grossed out by kissing him because even saliva makes me sick. I have noticed in all my relationships I am ok at first, but after awhile I start to feel like this where I feel grossed out.I felt bad for my boyfriend last week and went ahead and slept him with, and afterwards I ended up crying because I felt violated and grossed out. I have never been sexually abused or had any issues at all growing up. What is wrong with me, I am an attractive 21 year old girl!

The data you reported does not indicate any somatic problem. The problem is more likely to be mental. This kind of problems usually need longer period of observance, so a definitive diagnose can not be given over internet. You might want to visit a psychotherapist to find out the mental reason for your condition. Meanwhile, you might want to try some relaxation techniques.
The bad feeling about involving in any sexual activity with your boyfriend might be treated. Most important is that you have positive feelings about him.
