I've had this hernia for about a year now, I know the risk of getting strangled and everything, but I'm going to be out of the country for 1 year and I'm not going to be able to get surgery until I return, so my question is shall I cancel the trip and get the surgery or you think I could survive for another year with the inguinal hernia, in my case it doesn't cause any pain , and I can push it back without any trouble, it hasn't increased its size during all this year so what do you think?

When the inguinal hernia isn't painful and getting bigger, just causing slight discomfort and can be pushed back, you can only wear a supportive garment called a truss, and postpone the surgery.
Avoiding to lift haevy objects, trying not to strain and keeping your weight down, can lower your risk for inguinal hernia complications.
