When your father dies it is a difficult time even when you are in your 40's. It is also difficult for your children to lose their grandfather.

1. Should you expect your In-Laws (mother, brother, ect..) to attend the viewing?

2. Should you expect a phone call, card or some type of acknowledgment from your In-Laws (mother, brother, ect...)?

3. Should your children expect some type of acknowledgment or physical expression from their cousins from the other side?

I'm not sure what you mean by in-laws. Are these relatives on your wife's side? I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
