Liver issues can cause grey stools.
Bile is what gives the stool its brown colour.
Bile is made in the liver.
The lack of bile can make your stool pale.

bile is NOT made in the liver, it is made in the GALL BLADDER.

Gray Bowel Movements
Actually, BILE IS PRODUCED BY THE LIVER, and stored in the gallbladder.
