Prevention is better than a cure and I tried a special gout diet and it worked. Also the diet is not a kill joy one so although it takes time to get use to it you can still eat the foods you like. just not as much as you had before. But then again they helped to cause your gout so its not a bad thing.

The diet relies on you reducing as much as you can, maybe down to once a week, things such as cows stuff like butter and milk, yeast, red meats, acid fruits, cooked nuts and tomatoes. chicken down to once a week.

But you get to enjoy as much wonderful sea food as you can, brown pasta and rice, hippy lentils. Also try to avoid caffine in your tea or coffe.

Has anyone else tried a similar diet and did it work for you?
