My fiancee has gout. He is suffering from an acute attack that has so far lasted for the past 6 weeks. It has been in his left big toe, his doctor prescribed naproxen and rest. He has had to return to work after only a few days rest and it obviously got worse. His doctor has now prescribed Colchicine which has started to work but now the gout has started in his right toes. He has also had a very upset stomach, a large cold sore and several mouth ulcers. Is this a reaction to the tablets. Can anyone advise on alternative treatments?

increasing colchicine amount + there is a medicine removing uric acid via kidney, taking it + baking soda... BUT BEFORE DOING THESE YOU SHOULD SEE DOCTOR AND CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THEM...
