I also have gout, and its moved successfully from my big toe (right side) to left side, to knee's to my hip normally if my joint (cracks) I know I am about to get a bad gout attack... I am 29 I take Allopurinol daily and during an attack I normally go to the hospital for a couple shots of painkillers and indomethacin, I am unable to work during these attacks and they happen quite often, and effects my work/jobs ALOT! I also have diabetes so anything waste down seems to be effected in pain more frequently. I have no insurance and have lost my job. I guess my question is, is there any help or social security that can help me ? I feel that gout should be considered a disability and we should be helped. Is there such help I could get ?

Gout sucks! I started getting it when I was 26! All I can say is try to watch what you eat, and for me, I had to almost quit drinking beer! Sad I started taking a tart cherry extract. It does seem to help!! I haven't had a bad gout attack in almost a year and a half!
Good luck man!
