Q: Gout after weight loss surgery

I used to have gout every couple of months. I just went through a lap band procedure and have had mild gout for 3 weeks. I know part of it is not drinking enough water, which I am pushing myself to do. Any suggestions?

Currently, I am taking colchicine and erythro for the pain. However, when I stop, it comes back.
