So I applied to a few places to get a job
as a CNA and got a call back...I'm doing
home health care now! I start Monday but
its my FIRST time as a CNA, I have
absolutely no experience and i'm excited
but SO SO nervous about Monday! Any
encouraging words or advice from health
care providers? I'm hoping to be a nurse
in the future i would LOVE to work in
neonatal but...gotta start from the
bottom!

yay! i just finished my first shift as a
home health care provider...ugh..ran into
a few bumps..the nurse that cares for that
patient didn't have the care plan for me
to read over on friday when I went up to
the office but said it would be in the
folder when i got to the house..it
definitely WASNT...so honestly..i didn't
have a CLUE what to do grrrr...luckily the
wife was there and she was very kind and
just pointed me in the right direction and
let me know what is usually done...all in
all the shift went pretty smooth I'd say,
and tomorrow i'll at least know what to
expect! nursing school here i come!

Yay--this is great. One thing that i have
to say is a must--have confidence in
yourself--if you go in with the whole---i
cant do this or a negative atitude---it
doenst help. I guess that these minor
flaws in the job is what makes things
interesting and we learn from them---left
to find out on our own we learn more.
experiance is the best teacher

congratulations. Keep a positive attitude
and just do your best. Remember that you
are there for the patients. They really
do appreciate the help.
