Q: good glucose meter ?

I am not sure what to look for. Any recommendations?

You'll find various brands in your local chemist. Depending on what country you're in, the One Touch machines are very popular, and used both in the home and by medical professionals. I'd recommend these machines, although other brands work perfectly fine too.

Meters
I use the One Touch as well, and like it.
Just as accurate but much cheaper is a meter at walmart called "Reli-On".
The meter costs about $9 and the strips are about half the cost of other stips.
The reliability is very good. It's the same brand as "Prestige"
