How are the glycemic loads of foods combined when taken together. Are they simply added together or are they averaged.
For example if 30 grams of Kellog's Raisin Bran Cereal whose Glycemic Load is 12 taken in a cupful (250 ml) of whole milk whose Glycemic load is 3, is the total glycemic load consumed 12+3 or is it the average of 12 and 3 = 7.5?
