Q: Global March

Hey has anyone else had their Marijuana Global marches in their city? We did this past Saturday and I have to say I was a little disappointed. There were about 500 people. Mostly because the police marched with us…lame! We also were restricted on how far we could march. I was also surprised by the support we had. Most people were teenagers who had signs and clothes that said F&%$ authority and things like that. They were all really young and it just seemed like It was a bunch of high schoolers rebelling against the laws. They were a lot of girls in bikinis and kids smoking marijuana. I strongly feel that this “image” is what makes AZ one of the few states to not support medical marijuana. We need respectable hard working Americans to show their faces. Not kids that don’t respect the laws. Now don’t get me wrong…the new generation is going to make our world but right now we need to attract the older generation who still holds the power. But here in Phoenix everyone is afraid. Afraid to lose their jobs, afraid to go to prison for marijuana. Who can blame them? My husband just did 2 months in county jail for less than a dime. He has 2 years probation, 1800.00 fine and 65.00 a month in probation fees and he cant smoke! He has severe arthritis and insomnia.

Gosh its so unfair!

RIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u said it!
I live in Texas and it is the same here..We live in a small town so no parades or marches or anything for MJ..and it isn't legal for medical use here either but that doesn't stop me! I do wish that all the older MJ people would get involved more in NORMAL and other political pro pot organizations....if you cant legally use MJ for insomnia and arthritis then this country isn't much better than Nazi Germany...and the prisons are filled to overflowing with innocent pot users..its a travesty!

see Phoenix is huge! And everyone here smokes pot! Its just you can literally lose your life and social status if you are even accociated with marijuana. This is a right to work state so at any moment you can be fired. Its just crazy..im trying to figure out how we can get the members of higher society to participate. Im at a loss

Well HomerX i think we are moving to Nevada. Maybe the laws are better there. I know they have medical marijuana but Im not sure about decriminilization. See I like to smoke but dont necessarily need it. My hubby does though. But see why shouldnt it be available as a stress reliever? Heck people take valume or other narcotics?

true...I don't think any state allows decriminalization except for medical use...although depending on how much you have it could just be a fine or ticket..it should be legal...for medical or just relaxation, like liquor!!! Keep in tough when ya move..Nevada is a cool place..don't gamble too much!!!=D
