Q: Glandular Fever symptoms ?

I was at the doctor a couple of weeks ago as I had swollen lymph nodes (mainly on my right side) and I was generally feeling unwell , nauseous, and really tired. He said it was viral. Since then I got a bit of a cold which has mainly gone now but I still have the swollen lymph nodes, tiredness and feel nauseous. I have been looking online and some of my symptoms fit glandular fever. I realised I also have a pain at the bottom of my ribs on my left hand side which can be a symptom. I'm not sure whether to go back to the doctor or not, I hate the doctors.

You can test for glandular fever, or mononucleosis, by requesting the following tests from a doctor's office or laboratory:

* Epstein-Barr Virus Antibodies Test
* Mono Spot Test

It looks like you'll have to return ... but it's better than staying sick!

you can have a sore throat, swollen glands, and a temparature.

You can also have a blood test which will tell you.
