I have a friend with 3rd stage lung cancer and she is/was taking chemo. The problem is she was given a j tube because of the possibility of radiation and not being able to eat. The tube started leaking and had to be removed. Now she is receiving 5 bags of plasma and her blood pressure has been low. She has not been able to take her chemo. What do you think her prognosis is? I am her health care proxy and I would like to know what I am dealing with.

Unfortunately, since I am not involved in her care, it would be unwise of me to speculate. You should certainly discuss her prognosis with her oncology physicians, however.
