My baby's xiphoid process is 'dented in' - like its deep. Secondly he has round pot-belly like, with a below normal weight. He eats well and likes his food. We have seen a pediatrician who said we should consider giving him body-building food to assist his weight gain. As a sport nutritionist, i have tried and not winning.

Welcome to e health forum.

The history provided does not give enough information to make a proper diagnosis.

You might consult with a pediatrician who can examine your kid and provide proper explanations. In addition, allergies or absorption defects also need to be ruled out by proper evaluation.
