okay, I am a soldier in the Army and was med evaced from Iraq with pain in upper right quadrant and high bilirubin levels (3.2), nausea, and prior Enterectomy, Gastrectomy Colocycestomy. Since returning from Iraq with my unit I have had several bouts of turning yellow and pain in upper right quadrant. But my symptoms have gotten worse and can be set off by spices, fasting and now my cycle. Well I have been having ringing in my ears, muscle twitches in face arms, and legs, trouble maintaining body temp (hot and cold) and stumbling over my words and forgetting a lot, always being tired to the point that I sleep during Physical training hours, lunch and before dinner, then usually 1000 pm until the next morning. I do have trouble sleeping more than a few hours at a time. The last symptom has actually been going on for 6 years (lactating) I was told that it is normal, so I never went back to ask how long was normal until this last visit with my Dr. Oh and my eye sight went wacko in Iraq, one eye is twice as week as the other and I have a lot of trouble with lights while driving at night.

I recently had my fasting labs done and here were the inconsistencies: TBILI 3.6 mg/dl, AST 12/ALT 12, WBC 3.9, RBC CNT 4.06, HCT 36, MPV 7.2, prolactin 29.3, several others were on the low end of the spectrum. I know that all labs have different scales and these may fall in the normal range in other labs but these were the ones that were low. The only high one was the prolactin.

I am now waiting for an pituitary MRI for the high Prolactin levels, but I was told that they were only slightly elevated and probably meant nothing. But I know that whatever is going on it affecting my ability to be in the Army. They have not sent me to a liver specialist because of the labeling of Gilbert's Syndrom, eventhough they tell me it is asymptomatic. I do not get how they diagnosed me with Gilbert's based on my symptoms when Gilbert's it Asymptomatic in the first place.

Any help is welcomed and much appreciated.
