Hi!
I had a giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath (diffuse type) removed from my right thumb two years ago. Since that was a specialist, the condition has had no follow-up by a physician & I've moved to a different city. What follow-up should I do? How do I know if there has been a recurrence? At the excision site, I have scar tissue over a joint-so I can't really tell if it's regrowth or thickening due to the scar. Any ideas?

You should be followed by an Orthopedic surgeon with experience with soft tissue tumors. A new mass in the same area as your previous tumor would be the most likely sign of local recurrence.
