So I was on mirena since march 2008 I got it taken out january 15th ,2009. I keep having bc problems. she said that my body just cant handle hormones. so i was like that is it I don't want anymore kids and i don't want to be on birth control. So she called today and told me the surgeon at my gyno's office would do a tubal ligation after i have my annual pap smear which is in march. I am 23 going 24 i am married and have a 2 year little girl. I don't like being stuck to the house all the time. I love my kid but this is crazy. I told her i was so sure i didn't even think about the reversal and if i had i wouldn't be doing this. So I wanted to know everyone's story about getting there tubes tied pre or post op. I am new here. so this is my first post.

If you're in a committed relationship, a vasectomy is easier to reverse and is safer than tubal ligation. If not, tubal ligation is the way to go, unfortunately, the process is hard to reverse if you ever decide on having more children and its dangerous as with any surgical procedure. I haven't had the surgery, but I wouldn't suggest it if you even think you may want to have kids in the future.
