Getting Regular after the patch
Posted: 05-30-08 10:04am

I used to have all kinds of symptoms when I had periods on my own, then on birth control I also had very predictable symptoms at the same time every month. Since I've gone off the patch, it's been about 5-6 months and first I don't seem to have any symptoms of any sort, and my "periods" are too far apart, 45 days. We're trying to get pregnant. How long does this take to get back to 'normal'? Sad

One of the expected side effects of birth control pills (or patches) is temporary lack of ovulations after taking the pills off. Body needs several months to establish regular cycles with ovulations. Without ovulation conceiving is impossible.
You can keep trying to conceive for a year. After that if not successful, you can ask for medical help.
