Is it possible to get pregnant during your period while on birth control? If so, what do you suggest my girl friend does right now? the condom broke last night.

If she's been taking her pills correctly, then there's nothing to worry about. You are still protected during the placebo pills (the week you get your period).

If she hasn't been taking her pills correctly, and missed some pills (especially towards the end of her pack) then you both should look into finding Plan b to prevent any possible pregnancy.
