Mirena? It claims that when it's removed, you will immediately return to fertility without a wait. I think it'll all depend on when your body decides to ovulate (release an egg). Are you trying to get pregnant, or are you just curious?

I would wait two weeks and then take a pregnancy test.

You can get pregnant soon after having an IUD removed (I got pregnant a month afterwards) and they advise you use condoms in the week previous to getting it taken out if you don't want to become pregnant, although not sure how likely this is.

I had the iud mirena in for a short time. It was put in december 08 and i had it taken out today, april 1. I had it taken out because i thought i was pregnant, turns out i wasn't. But after thinking i was my husband and I became very excited and want to try for one. Since it was only in for a short time how long should it take to concieve?

I'm still curious about being able to concieve. I had some VERY light bleeding April 5&6 light enough that I didn't need a pad. I've continued to have unprotected sex and try for a baby, but I don't know if that was my period if it was ovulation would be this week. But I've never had a period that light and short before especially after not having one the whole time I used mirena.
