Q: Getting off medicine

Hi,

I have diabetes and it's affected me psycho-socially because the sugar goes to my brain. I take an anti-psychotic twice a day. It's called Zeldox. I also take an anti-depressant called Effexor.. I'm on pretty high dosages and they make me feel really good. It helps with my PTSD. A person just responded to my post that I said I was socially inept. He told me I can get off drugs and succeed. Is this true?? Can I get some advice please??

Hi Courtie,

If you really want to get off the drugs do so under your doctor supervision. Based on the the information you provided, unless you have other alternatives in place, you may have to be on some of the medication indefinately.

God Bless,
