Those are all questions you doctor would be much better suited to answer but in short assuming everything goes as it should and you are NOT pregnant already and you are not taking that medicine when you become pregnant your kidney transplant should not have any adverse effects on a future pregnancy. Good Luck to you!

I had my first tranplant at 20 and I got pregnant a year after, YES you can have a healthy pregnancy eventhough it will be high risk. Which means they will schedule you more appointments and watch you carefully. Our daughters are now 21 and 20...I was told that some meds could cause problems but that was over 20 years ago. I just had my second tranplant 3 years ago and I now have a grandson. God is AWESOME!! Best of luck to you and your "New Life"

My son who is presently 21yrs old had undergone kidney transplant in May 2006 in Pune and pursuing his Engineering Degree, but unfortunately has returned back to dialysis last 8-10 months affecting his studies. During his transplant in May 2006 my wife donated her kidney to him, now as for my blood group being AB+ and my sons blood group is B+. I am helpless since I do not anyone/donor having B+ blood group and hence would like to request you to please guide me what to do further. At present my son is doing Dialysis once a week as recommended by the doctor. His creatinine is around 7 and blood urea is around 65-70.

It’s my humble request to you to please guide me. I am from Pune and do not have any one in Hyderabad who can assists me. If possible can I have your cell number so that I can call you and speak in person.

Hoping for your co-operation and support at the earliest so that I can save my son from the clutches of death and give him new life. PLEASE HELP ME.
