According to your description your asthma condition is out of control. Frequent usage of bronchodilatators like Ventolin (salbutamol) is proof that your asthma condition is out of control. You might need corticosteroids to put your condition under control. But corticosteroids should be taken by inhalation and not by injections or orally. Usually if corticosteroids are taken by inhalation they won’t cause side effects like weight gain.

You could consult a pulmonologist about your condition.
