Hi. Im 5 feet tall exactly. Im 13. And I weigh 150 pounds. I get made fun of all of the time for being fat, overweight,"manboobs", etc. I cant fit into clothes I should be able to to. Im one of the shortest people in the eighth grade at my school. And I weigh a lot. I have trouble breathing sometimes. I have low endurance. I am overweight and its really starting to affect my life. I need help. My parents say tp exercise more. But there has to be more than that. It will take forever to loose weight!

What can I do? Are there good foods in particular for my problem? Specific exircises? Maybe a pill thats safe for someone my age to take? Please help! This is getting really bad! And I dont know what I can do about it.

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out.

First of all, it is important to have a will power to lose weight and then it will be easy to loose weight. It is also important to avoid any food cravings which can be due to mood swings or depression where a person satisfies or uplifts his mood after eating certain foods like fast foods, chocolates etc.Eating a balanced diet rich in all vitamins and minerals is essential to overcome this food craving. Exercise regularly and drink plenty of water at least 8-10 glasses everyday. With these you will definitely overcome food cravings.

It is also beneficial to join a gym and take part in aerobics and floor exercises which concentrate on specific body areas where fat accumulation is more but these exercises should be done under a physical trainer's guidance.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
