Q: Get Insurance before taking Accutane?

I've talked to my doctor and I'm about to start taking Accutane which is a 5-month program to get rid of acne.
The total cost of this would end up being 400-500 dollars a month!
I could get insurance which would probably be about 140, but the question is... would they cover Accutane, given that I would begin the process right after starting the insurance policy?
It's not fraud because I plan on having medical insurance anyway, and I wouldn't stop it after the Accutane treatment but I'm not very familiar with medical insurance practices so I want to know if it would be a good idea to get it BEFORE starting the treatment.
I've also checked myself for all STDs two weeks ago and I've heard that's frowned upon when getting new insurance?

Help with some advice, please?
