I have had gerd for ten years. recantly it has gotton worse I thought I was having a heart attack so did the doctor at the hospital. I have at least four attacks a week and have to double my medication at times. I am going to see a specialist in June. I would like to know if this would make my abdomon hurt and swell it is also very hard? please help.

There is always a possibility. You will be seeing a gastroenterologist in June, correct?

I'd be careful about doubling medication without consent from your doctor as by doing so on your own could actually make your problem worse.

Good Luck,
