Gential Herpes and Female Virginity

Hello,

I'm a 23 years old female.

I have a couple of questions regarding Herpes and Virginity.

First of all,

I had my first Herpes in April 2009, and I cured it by taking Virpes 400 (Acyclovir) and Zovirax.

I waited for about a week till I went to a Gynecologist and she prescriped these two medication for me. I was really suffering. The Herpes was very strong and I was stupid enough to think that it'll go away by itself as I've never had any health problems before in my entire life. I'm slim but I have a good health. I never had problems whatsoever regarding ANYTHING in my body; thank God for that.

My first question is, how did I get the Herpes?

I really don't know or not sure whether I'm sexually active or not!
How?

Because simply I'm aware that Herpes comes from a full and complete sexual intercourse between a male and a female.
But the thing is, when I went to see the Gynecologist; she asked me of course whether I'm a virgin or not and if I have a boyfriend. And I told her YES I do have a boyfriend. She said okay lets have a look, and as soon as she looked into my vagina she was like "Its there Its there" (She was refering to the Hymen of course).
I asked her several times HOW WOULD YOU KNOW??? How can you tell???
She replied that other wise it'll be different! Which I really didn't understand how would my vagina be "Different" if I'm not a virgin? And does that ALL what COUNTS? Just the looks of the Vagina would be different? I mean how about the place of the Hymen???

Because I've been Masturbating for a very very long time, maybe since I was 13/14 years old and recently (About 2/3 years ago), I started inserting my finger to the very deep end of my Vagina till I actually reached like a ball at the end (A Wall). So I'm very confused about where the Hymen might be?

I've done A LOT OF READINGS about VIRGINITY and HERPES...
I know EVERYTIHNG!!!!!!!!!!!
Herpes' CAUSES, SYMPTOMS, CURE.... etc...
Virginity/Hymen's Location, What is it made of, How to recover it....... ETC...
You Name It!!!!!!!!!! So I don't need any more information that is already "Written/Posted Online" cause I've gone through it ALL!!!!!!

And trust me, I feel like I've studied Medicine in these two sectors.
But now matter how I read and ask, I still can't find that in ME?!

Does that mean I'm a rare case or what?
How could I get the Herpes when I'm a Virgin? Do I have an Elastic Hymen? HOW?
And where is my Hymen? Its supposed to be at the begining of my vagina which I really don't see!

My boyfriend did insert his penis fully into me and thats even AFTER I went to the Gynecologist and STILL she said I'm a VIRGIN!
How did I manage to fool the DOCTOR?

I'm very careful about my virginity because I live in a Middle Eastern country and Virginity is a "Big Issue" in such countries.
So I would like to know where is my Hymen?

Also after getting the Herpes I asked my boyfriend to run some tests and he turned out to be clean as a baby!

Another thing, I heard from a Pharmacist friend of mine that there is a VACCINE?! But I didn't believe him because its not mentioned at all over the internet and everything said that its CURABLE but NOT TREATABLE!? So what do you think about that as well?
