Question 2 years ago, i noticed a couple of bumps around the opening to my vagina, i was so worried, but after a few days or about a week they dissapeared. I never went to get it checked, and have never had anything since. Could i be infected with HPV? I have recently had my first HPV vaccination and am due for my second next week. My nurse said 'you' cant test every one for HPV, your either infected or your not. But it makes me paranoid because this can cause Cervical Cancer, can't it?
Can anyone help, or has any one had the same thing?? Question
Thanks

I have HPV, I found this out because I went to get my annual pap test and it came out abnormal... You can still test for HPV if it's there all you have to do is get a pap smear... I never had symptoms related to this so I wasn't aware of it... Just because the bumps has gone away doesn't mean they won't return... Now I get annual Colposcopy done to make sure there's no pre-cancerous cells.. As long as you get your annual paps you have nothing to worry about.. You should get a second opinion, if that comes out normal your fine
