I have recently, over the past few days, developed a few itchy bumps around my vaginal entrance. They are sore to touch and generally quite uncomfortable. I was really upset and freaked out thinking I must have warts or something but I went to my GP and after examining me he said it wasn't anything sexually transmitted, it wasn't warts and it wasn't herpes. In his words it wasn't 'anything sinister'. He said it was a virus but not an STD, just like you can develop a sore throat or something, maybe from stress or being run down, which would make sense because I've had a lot of money issues lately and I have a terminally ill friend who is only 18 which is a big worry to me. So he has pescribed me Aciclovir cream and told me not to worry. That was yesterday but I noticed last night theres 2 more lumps devloped so now there's 5, I don't know if I'm worrying too much but I'm just not convinced it isn't an STD, am I being stupid? Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Physical examination helps a lot in ruling out the cause of warts. It might be that it is a viral infection as it is common to have viral infection which can spread to other areas.Kindly apply the medications as prescribed.
If there is no improvement consider getting a Test done to rule out the exact cause.

Take Care!
