No, genital herpes cannot be tested by spinal test. If symptoms of genital herpes are is pain, burning, tingling, or itching followed by sores and blisters. For confirmed diagnosis you will need to consult a skin specialist and undergo a few tests such as scrapings tested for herpes, culture analysis, Tzanck smear, antigen and antibody studies. In severe cases skin biopsy may be required.
