Q: genital warts and HPV ?

A few yrs ago I was told that I have HPV. They told me that genital warts would be a result of HPV. For a while now, I get bumps around the genital area or inner thigh. I have never seen a doctor so they can tell me that those are genital warts. They get irritaed with my jeans or underwear and get bigger. Sometimes they get so irritated that they bust like a pimple. Sometimes when they are not bothered they will go away on their own but they turn into a dark shade (almost like a scar) Are these warts? i'm so confused. I have heard that you can have them removed. Will they come back? Will the discoloration of my skin go away?

Warts (including genital one) can't change that fast and can't look like pimple. Warts grow slowly, have cauliflower-like surface and never contain liquid inside like pimples. Warts usually don't go away on their own but need therapy.
According to your description you might have some contact dermatitis combined with bacterial infection. Contact dermatitis is provoked by irritation (from the clothes for example) and can pass spontaneously if the trigger is removed. Often irritation and prolonged skin inflammation can cause discoloration of the skin.
You can consult some dermatologist about your problem.
