Q: Genital spots and STDs
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 27th, 2009
I have been very worried of these white spots at the part of my penis where my pubes stop growing and also some on my actual penis. They have not been itching or anything, but sometimes I pop them and a lot of blood comes out. If this sounds like any symptoms of any std, please let me know, so I can go see my doctor. Thank you and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Henry Alyes

Sexually Transmitted Diseases Answer A5556

It is hard to tell what these spots are without seeing them. The actual number, the size and if they are elevated over the surface of the skin might have been helpful. A hint about the sexually transmitted diseases: in most cases, the signs appear within several days after the intercourse. So, if you can remember whether the spots appeared after intercourse or not, you might also make a pretty good guess if these spots indicate a sexually transmitted disease. But, even if the spots are not from sexually transmitted disease, a check with an urologist is still recommended.

Thank you.
I appreciate the help and I went to the doctor recently to find out what was wrong with me. It turned out i had Molluscum Contagiosum and the doctor insisted to use liquid nitrogen to treat the spots. He said they should disappear after a few weeks and I'm thanking God everyday for making it a minor issue. Again thanks for the answer.
