My husband has was just diagnosed with GAD and is about to start a therapy treatment program. I think that his main worry is family and me cheating on him or leaving him. No matter how many times I try to assure him that I won't he tries to bring up something in the past about me flirting with someone or about something I said. I never can recall any of the instances that he seems to, and I was wondering is it possible that he worries so much about it in his head that he believes that it actually happened? Either that or i need to see a doctor about my bad selective memory.

Thank you

Maybe you forgot because you didn't think it was a big deal, but he remembered because he though it was. I think a lot of this will get better with the therapy. He will realize that a lot of what he's been worried about it unfounded.

Just don't do anything to cement his worries and things should calm down.
