I don't know how much of a believer I am in old wives tales, but I thought this was fun. I definitely feel like I'm having a girl, and have since about 2 weeks after I found out. The first two weeks I thought I was going to have a boy but now my intuition says girl girl girl! And the test confirmed it.

Congratulations!
You have a 13% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 86% chance of having a girl.

If you don't know what you're having for sure, I'd love to know your results :]

Today I can tell the baby is sitting as low as possible! I've had to use the restroom a TON and I've got a lower backache, ah!

Wives tales have a 50/50 chance of being right. Just like anyone's guess. It is fun to guess.

You have a 34% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 65% chance of having a girl

Let's hope they are right! I thought a circle (ring/needle test over belly) meant girl? Not according to them... weird...

You have a 39% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 60% chance of having a girl.

And Here's Why...
You are carrying the extra weight around the hips and bottom, so it's a girl.
The hair on your legs is not growing any faster during your preganacy, so it's a girl.
Boys are carried low. You are going to have a boy.
Sleeping in a bed with your pillow to the north indicates that you will be having a boy.
You feet are colder than they were before pregnancy. You are having a boy.
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread. You are having a girl.
Dad-to-be hasn't been gaining weight along with Mom-to-be, so it will be a girl.
The maternal grandmother doesn't have gray hair (dyed or natural), so a girl will be born.
You had morning sickness early in pregnancy, so you are expecting a girl.
You are not looking particularly good during pregnancy. Therefore, it must be a girl, because girls steal their mother's looks.
Your chest development has been quite dramatic during pregnancy. You should expect a girl.
Since the sum of the mother's age at conception and the number of the month of conception is even, it will be a boy.
A needle on a thread held over you belly moves from side-to-side, so it will be a girl.
Your urine is a dull yellow color, so you will have a girl.
You have a craving for salty or sour foods, which means that it is a boy.
Your nose hasn't changed during pregnancy, which indicates a girl.
You have been craving fruits, so it is a girl.
Your baby's heart rate is 140 or more beats per minute, so it's a girl.
You must have orange juice every day, so it's a girl.
You are having headaches, so it's a boy.
Your belly looks like a basketball, so it's a boy.
You show the back of your hand, so it's a boy.
You use the handle, so it's a boy.

during the first few weeks i was thinking boy! but for the past8 weeks i've been thinking girl very strongly!!!!

Have y'all ever seen this chinese gender chart? http://parenting.ivillage.com/ttc/ttcsigns /0,,j736,00.html. According to it I should be a boy and my husband should be a girl, but it was accurate for one of my friends, so who knows?

That Chinese Gender Chart is actually pretty accurate, it's weird. Although it's different from the OP thing...

If you want a girl according to that, get pregnant when you are 21, lol.

ETA: you're has spaces in it, it's not letting us get to it...

a cool greek tradition, is to get a necklace with a cross on it, and dip the cross in betewwn your thumb and pointer finger 3 times and if it sways back and forth it means boy, and if it spins it means girl.
they repeat this step for the second child as well, dipping it inbetween your pointer and middle finger and so on, mine said boy, but it could be false Smile

The Pendulum Method
Fashion a pendulum by tying one of the mother’s rings – preferably the wedding band if she can get it off – to a string.
Then you must determine what means yes and no to the pendulum. Hold it over an object such as a spoon, and ask the pendulum “Is this a spoon? Observe how the pendulum swings over the object when you ask it a true question – this is your yes answer. Again, hold the pendulum over the spoon and ask it a false question “Is this a book?” Observe how the pendulum swings in response to the false question – this is your no answer.
Now that you know how your pendulum swings for both yes and no, hold it over the mother’s stomach and ask “Is this baby a boy?” By observing the pendulums swing, you can determine the gender of your child.

thats intresting.
but how do you know whats yes and no?
couldnt what you think to be a yes swing, really mean no?
that sounds a little confusing, but still really cool.

A lot of cultures have the pendulum method, like what you were saying about the Greek Method. You determine the answer by asking the pendulum questions true questions and false questions to see how it swings in answer to those questions.

There is the peeing on the draino test to determine baby's sex. The way you are holding the baby - high or low or wide. How you look when pregnant. What you crave. The heartrate. The position you were in when you conceived. These have been going on forever. The only true ways to know though are ultrasound, amnio and birth.

I have a friend who had such a lovely PINK room set up for her little girl. She had a pink car seat cover, pink blankets, pink going home outfit, PINK PINK PINK. Because her ultrasound said girl.

She walked out of the hospital with a boy.

ya that makes sense, different traditions mean different things, just the other day my grandma and step mom were noticing i was carrying high and said oh maybe shes having a girl!

That insodent with your friend, thats why most ultrasound specialists are unauthorized to tell the sex, because people started sueing for the result of the ultrasound [ex. saying girl but turning out a boy] being false.
Im happy with whatever i get, as im sure your friend was too, but ashame she bought and had everything pink and it was a boy!

They usually tell you at the U/S office that they cannot be 100% on what you are having. If they leave room for error, they cannot be sued anyway. It is a cop out for them not to give some idea what the sex is. If your doctor can tell you without being sued, then why can't the U/S tech?

She just took all the pink things back to the stores. Her second child 15 months later was a girl.

Ya thats what my doctor said too, its usually not a 100% sure reault.
But the doctors office i went to said they are unauthorized and had to get the ok to tell my fiance and i from her supervisor, and said the sex would be on our results.
But they weren't on them when i went yesterday..so maybe they couldnt tell what we were having. So now we're going to wait and see, SURPRISE! lol

aww, thats crazy! what a roller coaster for your friend! lol
But at least she got a little girl after all. lol

That's why I don't want to know the sex of my baby. Because if my U/S said girl, my husband would have already bought a million pink things.

Apparently back in Egypt (I think, sometime WAY back when) they peed on certain types of grain, and if they were pregnant, it would grow. They also somehow determined the sex that way, I think if one type grew it was a girl, and if another grew, it was a boy. See? we don't exactly need technology to prove everything! lol

lol its funny the way people used to predict what gender the baby will be.

im happy that i get to have a surprise when my baby is born, just a little disappointed that i dont know for sure, because im such an impatient person with these things lol
