Q: Gastric Diverticulum

I have just come home from a gastroscopy. Finally ordered after 16 weeks of being treated for an Ulcer, with no alleviation of symptoms - mild nausea, epigastric pain, bloating. The scope showed quite a large gastric diverticulum. I will not see the surgeon for another two weeks to find out what the options are. The questions are, do I continue taking Nexium BID as I have done for the past month? And what are the options with this type of diverticulum? May this diverticulum return to its normal state by itself?
Thanks in advance. I have pictures if anyone is interested.
