The gastric by pass or lap band is for someone who weighs 100 or more pounds over ideal weight. It's not an easy surgery to recoer from or live with daily..The least bit of too much food or sweets can start you sliming and getting sick..Talk with your doctor to see what can be done that way..Go on line and get the bypass diet..Try it for awhile to see what you think..GO with the portions they are small do away with sodas as this causes gas bubbles that can stretch the stomach especially once surgery or lap band..I wish you good luck-weight loss for many like myself is not easy..I had the lap band surgery it is a slow process but worth it..kd
