Q: Gardasil for HPV ?

Colposcopy results showed i have HPV and pre-cancer cells. My doctor said there is no cure, just do PAP twice a year and make Gardasil vaccination.
I'm gonna be 26 in a week. The doctor said Gardasil will protect from other HPV-viruses.
I live with my husband and even if my organism will win the virus, i can get it back from him, right? Or i dont understand something.
I dont know what to do, do i need Gardasil vaccination now?

What type of HPV was found with your testing?

Gardasil protects from two types of HPV that are high-risk types for cervical cancer, and, doesn't protect from other types of HPV.
If Gardasil conteins your type of HPV infection, it'll protect you from getting clinical disease by types of HPV you don't have.
Low-grade precancerous lesions are likely to go away on their own and not develop into cancer (your immune system will solve that, so, try to boost your immune system with some supplements).
High-grade precancerous lesions are usually removed by using different techniques.

Thank you, thank a lot for a reply!
The doctor said it's impossible to know what exact HPV that is. So do you think it's still better to vaccinate?

You are welcome!
You can expect your immune system to take care for your current HPV infection and its effects on your cervix (if the lesion is low-grade).
Gardasil will protect you from the other high-risk type of HPV you don't have and from two types of HPV that do not cause cervical cancer, but, genital warts.

So, you can give a chance to Gardasil!

Best wishes!
