Just about 7 days ago, a 24 year old silver filling popped out of my tooth after I flossed it. It didn't hurt but the filling seemed massive and there was a big hole in my tooth - upper left - last tooth but not a wisdom tooth (removed). I went to a new dentist who put in another silver filling. I told her my teeth were extremely sensitive.
Well, I am experiencing a shock sensation when anything hits the outer part of the tooth. Even if I put pressure on that side of the tooth - with my tongue or finger, the sensation is extremely annoying. Almost feels as if the filling could be loose because even when I press my cheek against it - I get a jolt.
I am going back to the DDS on Thursday to have this filling removed and replaced with a white filling. Does anyone have a suggestion before I do that? I don't want to undergo another filling if there is a solution.
Thanks.
Lisa
