I have had all the tests. no stones, no sludge. The Hydascan showed that my gallbladder is only working at 18%. The upperscope showed a little scarring and that I wasn't digesting my food. Food was still in there even after 12 hours. When I first went in (about a year ago) the pain was horrible but they took me off birth control and I felt extremely better.

Somedays I am fine, especially if I am on my period and I can eat whatever I want. Other times I have to avoid all fat or I get horrible heartburn, naseau and gallbladder pain, gas and diahrea. I was just trying to eat better for the last year but lately my left side hurts really bad under my ribcage. Its like all the same gallbladder pain but on the left side. I get really bad twinges too that feel like stones are moving around, but they can't see anything.
The doctor thought that might be my pancrease, but the ct scan and blood work showed everything was fine.

I would just take the gallbladder out, but even the doctor thinks it's my bile duct and because I do have good days it makes me think the gallbladder isn't the problem.
The doctor said he thinks it's my bile duct but he said they have to remove my gallbladder first before they can do an ERCP.

I don't know what to do.

Your abnormal HIDA scan and symptoms are certainly consistent with a condition known as biliary dyskinesia. In the majority of such cases, removing the gallbladder will eliminate the right upper quadrant pain and nausea associated with eating. However, in cases where removal of the gallbladder does not stop these symptoms, ERCP may then be performed to assess the sphincter muscle at the end of the bile duct, where it enters the small intestine.
