If you experience pain in the upper right area of your torso, if might mean that something is blocking the bile from moving through the bile ducts.  When the bile ducts are blocked, the gallbladder may become inflamed.   • Indigestion after eating
  • Nausea, vomiting or sweating
  • Severe steady pain in the upper right abdomen or right side
  • Pain that starts suddenly and lasts from 15 minutes to many hours
  • Pain in or under the right shoulder
  • Pain between the shoulder blades
