Hello,
First off thank you for taking the time to read this. I had gallbladder surgery on 1-16-09 (laproscopically-don't think i spelt that right). Anyways i have been put on pepcid from my doctor because i have horrible heart burn even when i don't eat. i am on here because i am having very uncomfortable pain on my right side right under my right breast, by one of my incesions. if i press on it the pain goes away for a second, however today i woke up feeling fine and then towards 10 this morning (5/24/09) i started having this pain again and still do and it is no 7:15 p.m.. I didn't know if it was normal or not and if i should contact my GI doc to let him know. I have read things online stating this can happen and may not go away for a year and that it could be a bile duct injury or so. can someone please let me know if this is normal and if i should be concerned. My stomach also still gets bloated easly. is that normal also? Please help and thank you very much! doctor

I had the same op about 10 years ago and still have the sensation of an attck occasionally. I went to the ER late last year and a young Doctor discovered it was related to my back? Yes back pain was the cause! I now take an anti inflammar=tory just as I feel it coming on and bingo no pain for days. This was the best discovery made in 10 years of pain.
